Ribbon Width and Length Information

dollar ribbon-final sizeRibbon Width – Incorrect ribbon width can be wasteful and/or adversely affect wear on the printhead and artifically increase the application’s cost. Generally the ribbon’s recommended width is near the same width as the liner that the label is attached to, or the width of the tag if no liner is used.

Ribbon Length – Using the longest ribbon length recommended by the printer manufacturer is suggested in order to reduce time spent on changing ribbon rolls. If other considerations are important, or the recommended length is unknown, LSi can assist in matching the proper ribbon length to the printer model, application, and/or other customer requirements.
